I Wish I Didn’t Know…

June 27, 2014 by Emilah

As a coach, I was trained to ask empowering questions. Questions that made my clients pause and go deeper; identifying some awareness or understanding that lies just underneath the radar. Whether asked sweetly and with care or sharply, with laser-like precision, empowering questions get to the heart of the matter. One of the most powerful …

Why the Dragonfly? Reflections on Transformation

July 24, 2012 by Emilah

Did you know that dragonflies start their lives as nymphs, living in the water up to five years before wriggling their way up a piece of grass and birthing themselves into adulthood? Me neither – until I was meditating and sensed to include a dragonfly in the branding process in which I am engaged.  All …

Cultivating Compassion in Intimate Relationships: A Practice

April 2, 2012 by Emilah

I am in the middle of facilitating an eight-week series entitled Relationship Building: Strengthening our Families, Partnerships and Communities here in Albuquerque.  This past week we closed our circle with a variation on a Compassion Exercise from Avatar.  Participants enjoyed it so much, I though I’d share it on my blog.  So here it is! Special thanks to Rev. Jude …

7 Tips for Navigating Conflict in Intimate Relationships

March 1, 2012 by Emilah

I get suspicious of couples who say they never have conflict; that everything is always hunky dory.  The truth as I know it? Once Upon a Time…A Tale of Integration.

January 27, 2011 by Emilah

Once upon a time I described myself as an energy healer and intuitive. I saw clients on a fairly regular basis doing intuitive readings and hands-on energy work.  My energetic gifts tend toward supporting people in transforming emotional & behavioral patterns that no longer serve their highest good, and supporting people in taking action from …

Ritual Creates Relationship

August 3, 2010 by Emilah

One of the first days of the CWL retreat (see previous blog post for details), Nina & Toby (the facilitators) offered some wisdom passed along to them from a shamanic teacher/guide: Consciousness creates matter. Language creates reality. Ritual creates relationship. When they presented this to us, I immediately resonated with these ideas; the first two …

Experiencing Fullness & Transcending Judgment

June 28, 2010 by Emilah

I am facilitating a book study on The Call by Oriah Mountain Dreamer.  It’s more than just a book study, really.  It’s facilitating a change in consciousness for all of us; increasing our ability and willingness to be with what is.  Last week we read chapter seven “Going Home” and a question she posed has …

Summer Solstice, Raging, and Living my Fullness

June 21, 2010 by Emilah

So today I ask myself “In what ways am I living my fullest, my genius?” “What do I do in my daily life to allow my being to receive more light?” “How may I support others in receiving more light and expressing their beauty and genius to the planet and her inhabitants?”

Asking myself these questions leads me, most naturally, to the ways in which I interfere with offering my gifts to the planet and her inhabitants. How much darker can it get than raging?
