About Emilah

Hi. I’m Emilah

Emilah Dawn De Toro in a grassy field.

Astrologers tell me I’m here to live a spiritual life—to go deep, burn off karma (inherited patterns of behavior), heal the trauma I carry within me, and evolve into a more authentic, healthy expression of my soul.

That’s my experience for sure. Always learning, growing, identifying things that no longer work, letting them go, and stepping into a better, fuller version of myself. And then doing it again in a different area of my life—career, relationships, health, or spirituality.

I carry the frequency of transformation in my being—whomever I’m with, wherever I am, change is sure to follow. I also have a remarkable capacity for presence—holding unconditional, empathic space. I was in a rollover car accident in 2004 that cracked open my being allowing psychic, intuitive and energy-healing gifts to flow through me.

Given all this, I’m often a catalyst for change—helping people and organizations clear out patterns of behavior and stagnant physical stuff that no longer serves and adopt new ways of being, thinking and creating. Transformation with a capital T, as I like to say.

Whether you’re looking to develop or affirm your intuition or make changes in your career, relationships, health or spirituality (or all of the above), I’m here to serve as a coach and guide. To be who and what I already am—an intuitive, coach, energy healer and change agent—and support you in becoming who you already are underneath all those patterns of behavior that no longer serve.

My partner in intuitive and energy healing work is the Venusian Sanat Kumara, The Ancient of Days. Take a look at my Coaching Palette as well as the Random Tidbits and formal education and training below. I hope to connect with you soon.

Random Tidbits about Me…

I rely on intuition for most every decision

I’m deeply familiar with transformation and the faith-filled leaps it requires. I’ve left jobs, cities, graduate programs, and relationships following inner guidance. I’ve also stayed put when it was uncomfortable because that’s the hit I got. I feel into what to wear each morning. Living this way requires courage, faith and trust in myself and God (insert your name for God here).

Retreats light me up

I love retreats and small group workshops that go deep. I was an onsite organizer for twelve Nonviolent Communication International Intensive Trainings (IITs) and have designed and facilitated a variety of my own workshops and retreats.

Brené Brown is my Shero

I'm a big fan of Brené Brown. I've read or listened to every one of her books and podcasts and most everything she's recommended. I am changed, in part, because of her work.

A whack upside the head made me psychic!

I was in a rollover car accident in 2004 which cracked open intuitive and energy healing gifts. I spent several years coming to understand, contain, and focus these gifts  with my mentor Deborra and other practitioner/trainers. Then I enrolled in a coach training program to integrate them into a coaching model.

Working the steps was harder than grad school

I moved to Tucson to go to grad school; to work on a Ph.D.. I got sober and worked the steps while in living there. The 12-step community reparented me. The Ph.D. is still unfinished (affectionately called ABD - all but dissertation) despite 3 attempts at a dissertation. The healing and personal growth work when you have an addictive/codependent personality - well, that never ends!

I love to travel

I grew up in New England, went to college and lived in Potsdam and Canton, NY, and spent a year living in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany working for AFRC and traveling around Europe. I love to travel and explore new places, although I do it less as I age.

Guided by the Bhagavad Gita

I’ve been studying Eastern spirituality and practicing yoga and meditation for over 20 years. I moved to Albuquerque, NM to study at the Ayurvedic Institute. One of my favorite books is Stephen Cope’s The Great Work of Your Life – a teaching on the Bhagavad Gita. His most recent Dharma in Difficult Times is also a keeper!

I'm an Empath

I'm an introverted, empathic, intellectually curious, highly sensitive person (HSP). I’ve created a life that supports my personality, interests, and the values I hold dear. I look forward to helping you do the same.

Somewhere between a nerd and a geek

I started college as a computer management systems major. I liked the people work but not the coding (called programming then:-). I still think from a systems perspective and use technology to make life easier. This is a great skill when working in/with organizations!

I've been coaching all my life

As a student affairs administrator, I listened and advised students, staff and faculty all the time - we just didn't' call it coaching.  Coaching for Transformation helped me integrate the skills from my years in higher education with my intuitive capacity and added formal coaching skills. I've been doing Intuitive Life Coaching for a decade now and just love this way of connecting and serving.

Living in the Wild West

I currently call Tucson, AZ (the traditional land of the Tohono O’odham) my home, but I have the privilege of working with people all over the world through my virtual intuitive life coaching and energy healing practice. My husband, two dogs, and two cats moved from Santa Fe in the summer of 2022 after living in New Mexico for 17 years.

Affirmative prayer changed my life

I enjoy praying out loud with people and have seen and experienced the miracles of prayer. I was an active member of Unity Spiritual Center Albuquerque for 12 years serving in a variety of roles - Prayer Chaplain, Prayer Chaplain Trainer/Coordinator, Church Administrator, and Board Member to name a few! I currently attend Unity of Tucson.
